         SUPREME COURT COMMITTEES, BOARDS, AND COMMISSIONS

 

 

The Supreme Court is accepting applications for the following positions on the  New Mexico Supreme Court Commission on Equity and Justice:

 

One (1) Court of Appeals Judge

Three (3) judges in total from the district court, metropolitan court, or both, provided there is at least with one judge from a small-sized court, medium-sized court, and large-sized court

One (1) Magistrate Court Judge

One (1) Tribal Court Judge

One (1) University of New Mexico School of Law representative

Four (4) Attorneys

One (1) Community advocate

One (1) Human rights/civil rights representative

One (1) Mental health advocate

One (1) Court security officer

One (1) Legislative member

Two (2) At-large members

 

Applicants should send a letter of interest to Supreme Court Chief Clerk Joey D. Moya by email to nmsupremecourtclerk@nmcourts.gov, by fax to (505) 827-4837, or by first class mail to P.O.

Box 848, Santa Fe, NM 87504. Applicants should limit their letters to two pages, indicate which

position they are seeking, and describe (1) why they wish to serve on the Commission, (2) what

they bring to the Commission and (3) their demonstrated commitment or professional experience

with diversity, equality, inclusion or anti-racism. Letters of interest should be submitted no later 

than 5 p.m. on November 25, 2020.
