Dear Drug/Treatment Court Partners:

The Problem-Solving Courts (PSC) within the Third Judicial District Court, have been closely monitoring the public health emergency response to COVID-19 in conjunction with the Governor of New Mexico, the New Mexico Department of Public, and the Centers for Disease Control. The PSC’s continue to be committed to balance access to justice and treatment, with public health concerns. Due to the emergency created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the following measures have been implemented for your safety:

All PSC sessions will be held as scheduled, via electronic means (Google Meets). All participants will be contacted and provided instructions for attending sessions through the electronic process. Participants are still required to participate in treatment sessions, which are also provided via electronic means (Telehealth). Please continue attending your scheduled treatment sessions and contact Esperanza Guidance Services if you need additional assistance. (575-522-5144)

Surveillance Officers and Program Staff will continue to contact all participants frequently, for updates and to check on your well-being. Please remember to make yourselves available, so that we may make contact with you. Check your cell phones to ensure your voice mailbox is available for messages and return phone calls as instructed. Keep Surveillance and your Supervising Officers updated with your current phone numbers, email addresses, and/or physical addresses. Home visits and curfew checks will continue.

Except for Detention Hearings, Bench Warrants, or unless otherwise instructed, DO NOT COME TO THE COURT IN PERSON. If you have questions, please contact the Administrative Office at 575-528-8395 or 575-528-8341 or 575-528-8392. For emergencies, please call 575-621-7120.

During this time-period, please do not bring children into the Courthouse. If you are ill, you should stay home. The Court may ask members of the public who are exhibiting visible symptoms of illness such as coughing to leave.

Remember to practice social distancing. Go to https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/index.html for more information. Our first priority is that you stay healthy and safe.
