RFP FY 2019 - Safe Exchange & Supervised Visitation Services and RFP Notice

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is soliciting proposals for a provider to lead their Safe Exchange and Supervised Visitation program in Bernalillo County (2nd Judicial District Court) pursuant to State law Section 40-12-5.1 (NMSA 1978). According to the statute, “a judicial district may create a ‘safe exchange and supervised visitation program’ by local court rule approved by the Supreme Court. . . . In a Safe Exchange and Supervised Visitation program, the district court may employ or contract with a person (1) with whom a child may be left by one parent for a short period while waiting to be picked up by the other parent; or (2) to supervise visits among one or both parents and the child.”

The AOC must receive proposals no later than Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. MDT. To receive the RFP packet, contact Kristen Leyba at (505) 827-4808 at the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), 325 Don Gaspar, Room 100, Santa Fe, NM 87501 or check AOC’s website at http://nmcourts.gov/index.php. RFP packets will not be faxed. The Procurement Code, Sections 13-1-1 to 13-1-199 (NMSA 1978), imposes civil and criminal penalties for its violation. In addition, the New Mexico criminal statutes impose felony penalties for illegal bribes, gratuities, and kickbacks.
